Thanksgiving in Phoenix, Arizona

the week after vegas, we found ourselves bouncing around a bunch between tucson and phoenix, az. so scot's parents were kind enough to open the home to us for thanksgiving. wednesday night, scot spent some quality time with the fam at their house, and we were going to come over the next day.

the morning of the thanksgiving, us girls- meagan, beth, ashley, and i, set our alarms for early. hopped out of bed with just enough time to raid the crappy continental breakfast in the best western front lobby...we figured if we couldn't have quality, we'd have quantity. :) then we raced back upstairs and had breakfast in bed and watched the entired macy's thankgiving day parade! it was cold and rainy in nyc, and we chuckled as we looked outside at the 75 degree sunny skys, and palm trees. :)

a few hours later, most of us piled into the van and headed over the the williams's homested of yummy deliciousness, and good company. steph was outside waving, and smiling, and it was really wonderful to feel so welcomed somewhere that was so far from home. we were given beers, and told to be anywhere else, but in the kitchen. :) we met scot's mom, dad, sister, her husband, and the new baby caitlyn we've all heard so much about. she is truly the happiest baby i've ever met.

her parents were kind enough to share her with meagan, ashley, and i. we passed her around, and i got to smell her!! totally smelled like baby!!! :) :)

steph gave us a tour of the house, scot's parents were warm and welcoming, and joked around at scot's expense, and i felt really happy to be a part of it all. the spread at dinner was amazing, and when scot's mom started joking around at ZACH'S expense, i really felt all warm and fuzzy inside.

after dinner, scot, steph, meagan, ashley, and i went for a walk around the neighborhood.

we made our way to the park nearby, and watched a game of flag football, played on the swings, and watched the other neighbors start to put up their christmas lights.

we watched tv for a while, and finally, after letting our food settle, we headed back to the best western to prepare for the 1400 mile drive that loomed over our heads.

this was the perfect way to spend thanksgiving away from home. a big huge thank you to all the williams' for a lovely holiday. :)

Las Vegas, Nevada!

THE WEEKEND WE WERE ALL WAITING FOR WAS FINALLY HERE!!

earlier, there was the very serious possiblity that the vegas weekend would be cancelled. but no!! we got 3 days in sin city!! :)

beth's boyfriend, aaron, came out to visit here and helped us load and unload the truck the morning of the friday performance!! also, he let us dress him up in my katrina van tassel wig and take pictures.
yay for aaron!!

that same evening, some of us got all gussied up and went out dancing. we waited in line for 2 hours to get into the club PURE, which apparently, is the hottest club in town...we didn't know, i guess we jsut have really good taste. ;)

turns out, a lot of fun celebs had the same idea we did!! it was the weekend of the Comic Relief show on tv that was being done in vegas, so everyone was out the night before. i had to wait an extra 20 mins to be let in because BOB SAGGET and co. jumped the line...i know celebs get perks, but come on!!! BOB F**KING SAGGET?? i didn't mind so much when the sopranos guys hopped the velvet ropes, or the entire cast of entourage...and later that night i met jeremy piven...and he said i was sweet (swoon). :) oh yeah, and the pussy cat dolls were there too, performing and partying. yay! the drinks were hella expensive, there were a ridiculous amount of people in there, and we danced like assholes til 3 am when we were about to collapes from physical exaustion. it was totally worth it!

saturday night, ashley and i were each others dates. we decided to do it up right and play at the bellagio. woohoo!! it was awesome!!
we gambled, we drank, we watched the water show at the fountain...and then we met scot and steph at the tropicana for a show! we saw the Folies Bergere. nuthin' like topless ladies and a bad comedian to give you the true spirit of vegas. :) plus, the 4 of us hit up the New York, New York casino...ridiculous. more drinking, and cigars, and gambling, and screaming along to cover bands. it was totally awesome! i'm sure i'm leaving out tons of ridiculously drunken belligerence, but i've gotta keep some things on the D.L. what happens in vegas, stays in vegas...unless your friends take pictures to document you being an asshole.

sunday, we piled in the van, scot driving and me navigating, and drove from las vegas, nevada to tucson, arizona...not a short drive. but we got to drive over the hoover dam, and it was my first time in the desert that i can consciously remember, so that was cool.

next up...thanksgiving in phoenix! :)
